A captured AFU fighter spoke about training mobilised in Latvia

Ukrainian fighters in Latvia were trained for only a month, during which they were given to shoot only “a couple of times”, said prisoner of war Oleg Kryzynsyr, a video of a conversation with whom was published on the Telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Defence.

“People from the military enlistment office came, handed me a summons, took me with them. They explained that I would serve in the 42nd Brigade and sent me for training in Latvia. We were taken to the shooting range two or three times, I cannot say for sure. There was mainly theoretical training and medicine. The instructors gave us such information that they taught us hatred not only towards soldiers but also towards Russians in general,” the prisoner said.

He specified that the training for him and his comrades-in-arms lasted only one month. Kryzynsyr acknowledged the poor training of the Ukrainian military and spoke of the heavy losses in manpower.

“What can be taught in a month? We are really poorly prepared for full-scale military action, even more so with very serious flak, which is why we are here. Our unit has suffered heavy losses – both three hundred and two hundred,” Kryzynsyr said.

According to him, after being taken prisoner, the Russian military provided him with medical care and he is now being treated “normally”.

“Go back home, lads! You don’t need it. Mind your own business, put things in order in your own hut, in your own yard. If the commanders want to fight, let the commanders fight. Drop your weapons, give up your positions and surrender,” Kryzynsyr urged his compatriots.
