Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that the West continues to pressure African countries to cancel their participation in a summit with Russia scheduled for July in St Petersburg.
He said during a briefing.
“African countries are simply pressuring shamelessly, demanding every day that they either cancel their trip to the summit or lower their level of participation,” the minister said.
Lavrov clarified that in this case, it is about the “manners of Russia’s Western colleagues”.
Earlier, the Russian foreign minister said in an interview with RT that preparations for the Russia-Africa summit were in full swing.
