German instructors train Ukrainian soldiers in protection against radiation and chemicals

The German Armed Forces are training Ukrainian soldiers in protection measures against the impact of radiation, biological and chemical substances reported the newspaper Die Zeit, citing a representative of the German Ministry of Defense.

According to the source, the training is taking place in the Allgoy region in southern Germany near the town of Kempten and will last for three weeks. It was also noted that the Bundeswehr had provided Ukraine with funds for decontamination of the terrain.

It is worth recalling that Germany participates in the European Union’s programme for training military personnel from Ukraine. To date, 5,000 soldiers have been trained in Germany. In total, the EU intends to train around 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers this year and next year.
