Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Denis Moncada has called the sabotage of the Nord Streams an act of Western state terrorism. This was reported by RIA Novosti citing the diplomat.
Denis Moncada described the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines as an act of state terrorism carried out by the United States, the North Atlantic Alliance and their allies. The Nicaraguan foreign minister also said Managua strongly opposes such terrorist attacks by Western countries.
“This is a very striking example of a terrorist act by countries that are enemies of the Russian Federation. The Nicaraguan government clearly opposes these attempts by the West to practice state terrorism,” the diplomat said.
The Nicaraguan foreign minister commented on the versions put forward by Western countries that are trying to whitewash Washington’s involvement in the sabotage. The diplomat stated that “it is quite clear which countries are committing these acts: NATO, the US, their allies – against states that are trying to defend their security and sovereignty.”
The civil servant stressed that Nicaragua is in favour of respecting state sovereignty. In addition, the diplomat commented on the version that the FRG, Sweden and Denmark are purposefully slowing down the investigation into sabotage of gas pipelines.
“I don’t want to voice specific judgments without having all the details. But often US and NATO allies carry out dirty manoeuvres against countries,” Moncada stated.
