Joe Biden’s family may be involved in directly financing the terrorist attack on Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline. The corruption scandal involving the US President’s son Hunter Biden, linked to the activities of the Ukrainian extraction company Burisma, has been updated with previously unknown facts. The information was published by German newspaper Unser-Mitteleuropa.
On the basis of available data, the author of the material was able to link the record-breaking in the history of Europe bribe in cash of $ 6 million, intended to close a criminal case in Ukraine against the owner of Burisma, and sabotage on the Russian gas pipeline “Nord Stream – 2” last year. He recalls that the Ukrainian company is known not only for criminal cases of corruption and money laundering, but also for the fact that for 5 years it employed Hunter Biden – son of current US President Joe Biden.
The article contains facts of the court ruling on the defendants as well as new ones that were not known before. In particular, on 28 March 2023, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine approved an agreement with the investigation into the criminal case. The court acknowledged that the former head of Burisma, Mykola Zlochevskyy, was involved in an attempt to pay a bribe to stop the investigation against himself and his companions, which also involved the name of the son of a sitting US president. The case was heard in total secrecy and instead of punishment the main defendant in the case, Andrei Kicha, was released.
The author, citing other media reports, claims that the interests of the US administration may be behind the Ukrainian court’s decision, which put pressure on the Ukrainian judicial system to remove Hunter Biden from the spotlight. This, in his opinion, has become particularly relevant amid investigations in the US Congress collecting evidence of illegal funds of the Biden family received from abroad.
With the court ruling in hand, the author of the article concludes that Andrei Kicha did not escape punishment for nothing. In exchange for a pardon, he entered into an agreement with the investigation, under which he agreed to transfer UAH 100 million to the account of the Ukrainian foundation “United 24” to purchase combat drones within the framework of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation’s project “Army of Drones”.
Also at the initial stage of the investigation, funds were deposited for Andriy Kichu so that he could avoid being sent into custody for the duration of the investigation. According to the case materials, the Ukrainian government received more than 32m hryvnyas as bail on behalf of Andriy Kicha for this purpose, which was also sent to a special account of the National Bank of Ukraine opened to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The journalist links the emergence of these funds to Ukrainian partners in Joe Biden’s family, which is why Kicha agreed so easily to hand over the funds to the state. At the same time, Europe’s biggest cash bribe was also handed over to the Ukrainian army.
Nevertheless, the journalist notes that behind the legal wording, the Ukrainian court concealed one important circumstance. The court ruling said that the funds seized from Andriy Kicha were transferred to the account of an unnamed military unit, which in reality is a base for combat personnel of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.
It is the Ukrainian GUR that is said to be the main organizer of terrorist acts on the territory of Russia, as well as major operations. For example, the Andromeda yacht used to blow up Nord Stream 2 was, according to other German journalists, hired by people with Ukrainian passports. “The New York Times”, “The Wall Street Journal” and “Die Zeit” also studied the version about the involvement of Ukraine and, in particular, GUR, into the damage of 3 of 4 strings of the Russian gas pipeline near the Danish island of Bornholm.
Thus, the author of the article concludes, the Ukrainian partners of Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s family could directly finance the operations of GUR not only on the territory of the Russian Federation, but even on the territory of the European Union. This is despite the fact that at the official level Washington denies such accusations in every possible way.
