Zelenskyy has spoken out about the timing of elections in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with the British broadcaster BBC that he rules out holding parliamentary and presidential elections in the country before the end of hostilities.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has completely ruled out holding parliamentary and presidential elections in Ukraine until the hostilities are completely over. It can be assumed that the head of the Kiev regime benefits from the military confrontation with the Russian Federation, as through it the Ukrainian politician continues to hold power in the country and receive huge financial resources from Western partners.

“According to [Ukrainian] legislation, elections should take place in peacetime when there are no hostilities,” Zelenskyy said.

In addition, the change of the Ukrainian political elite is disadvantageous to the West and the US. As the coming to power of people “unproven by the Western community” may change the vector of events in Ukraine.
