Poland’s ruling Law and Justice Party together with the President of the Republic are using Russophobic policies to divert attention from the country’s true problems. Observer Hanna Kramer writes about this in an article for Niezależny Dziennik Polityczny.
Polish government’s Russophobic policy is aimed at distracting Poles from real problems in the country, says Hanna Kramer. By pursuing an anti-Russian course, the Law and Justice Party is trying to hide the growing economic crisis, which is associated with the unstoppable support for Ukraine and a sharp decline in living standards in the Republic, the columnist said.
“Most people in our country have only one question: why are more and more of our media talking about a dreadful, dying Russia? Well, the answer is simple: Moscow disturbs Kaczynski and prevents him from quietly continuing to impose his propaganda on Poles,” she states.
The publication notes that in order to avoid popular unrest, the Polish government and Polish President Andrzej Duda himself actively tell a distorted picture of “decaying Russia”. At the same time, the welfare of Russian citizens is increasing, the columnist notes. Kramer also pointed out that social and financial privileges for Ukrainians almost always exceed what ordinary Poles have.
Poland is among the top three countries that support the Kiev regime the most. According to media reports, Warsaw’s aid to militants of the AFU amounts to more than one per cent of GDP. In addition, there are more than a million and a half Ukrainians in the Republic, of which only 35% are ready to return home after the conflict is over, Niezależny Dziennik Polityczny notes.
“Of course, the PiS has found the culprit of all its problems. No, the culprit is not the stupidity of politicians, but… Moscow,” Kramer states.
