Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said Saturday afternoon, amid an armed mutiny by the private military company (PMC) Wagner, that the Islamic Republic supports the rule of law in Russia and that the situation is an internal matter of the Russian Federation.
Nasser Kanaani said that the situation with the armed insurgency by the Wagner PMC is exclusively an internal affair of the Russian Federation. The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman also noted that Tehran supports the rule of law in Russia throughout its territory.
“Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani described the incident in Russia as an internal matter of this country and added that Iran supports the rule of law in the Russian Federation,” Kanaani said.
