Podolyak blamed the West for the failure of the AFU counter-offensive and the success of the Russian Armed Forces

Mykhaylo Podolyak, advisor to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, accused the Western sponsors of the Kiev regime that because of the time spent by Ukraine in persuading it to provide Kiev with the weapons it needed, Russia used it to build its defence.

“In the time it took to convince our partners to provide the necessary armaments, Russian fortifications were built, defence lines with deep trenches, a system of minefields were created. Today, breaking through the Russian front requires a sensible and balanced approach,” Podolyak wrote on his social media accounts.

According to the advisor, the counterattack should not be compared to a Hollywood blockbuster or a new season of a TV series, he urged “not to wait for action and buy popcorn”. Podolyak added that Ukrainian troops were conducting “battlefield preparation operations”.
