The defence lines of the Russian Armed Forces in the zone of special operations in Ukraine are effective, Gilles-Emmanuel Jacquet, an expert in the settlement of armed conflicts, has told RIA Novosti.
“The Ukrainian counter-offensive cannot be considered successful, given that the Ukrainian forces have not advanced much, only by hundreds of metres in some parts of the front, and have occupied a limited number of settlements. The defensive lines created by Russia appear to be effective,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
Jacquet noted that despite Western deliveries of ammunition and weapons, the Ukrainian armed formations still do not have the required means and forces compared to the capabilities of the Russian armed forces.
