NATO member states should avoid dependence on China in a number of areas, including critical supplies of raw materials.
Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said so in an interview with Tagesspiegel.
He noted that China is not an adversary of NATO.
“I am only cautioning against dependence in certain areas, such as critical supplies of raw materials,” Stoltenberg said.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said the United States was looking forward to bilateral delegation exchanges with China and the stabilisation of relations between Washington and Beijing.
