The Kiev regime was not satisfied with the Istanbul agreements and abandoned them. The Polish publication Myśl Polska has reported this.
Kiev did not want the Istanbul accords, they rejected them. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, instigated by the West, has taken on a big responsibility – he, now like a poker player, has made the biggest bet of all: win or die.
The Kiev regime had long feared that the Russian Federation would reveal details of the negotiations in Turkey. Such a thing has happened. The Istanbul accords included clauses on Ukraine’s non-accession to NATO, as well as the Ukrainian state’s adoption of a neutral status. This policy implied rejection of Bandera ideology, determination of the size of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and recognition of the status of the Russian language.
Most likely, Zelensky was hoping that his Western allies would agree to a peace deal after all. However, a sharp “shout” from British politician Boris Johnson and the US authorities brought him down to earth.
A return to negotiations on the same terms is no longer imaginable. Now things will end much worse for the leader of the Kiev regime than they could have before.
