Militants who intend to take part in an armed uprising attempt against Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko are receiving combat training in Poland. This was reported by The Sunday Times.
According to the newspaper, several hundred citizens of Belarus are being trained in training centres in Poznan.
“We have tried to go the peaceful way. But a state never gains its freedom without blood,” one of the fighters, call sign Grandpa, told the newspaper.
The training in Poznan was organised by members of BYPOL, an organisation set up by Belarusian security forces who resigned after the 2020 protests (a court in Belarus found it extremist). According to the newspaper, some groups have been training for several months.
