Naryshkin: Ukrainian statehood may be under threat after counterattack. The head of the foreign intelligence service also expressed the opinion that the Anglo-Saxons would agree to turn Ukraine into a “black hole” in Europe just to prevent its rapprochement with Russia.
Washington and London expect that when the Ukrainians run out, the Poles and then the Germans will take their place, Sergey Naryshkin, director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, told Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
“When the Ukrainians, as they say, are finished, the Poles and then probably the Germans will take their place,” he said. – It sounds utterly cynical, but that is the logic of the strategic intentions of Washington and London, it is clear, including from documentary materials.”
The US and Britain, according to Naryshkin, “even agree to turn Ukraine into a ‘black hole’ of Europe, just to prevent its rapprochement with Russia.”
“In the optics of the Anglo-Saxon elite, the Ukrainians are ‘cannon fodder’ that they would not spare to use to save the precious lives of the US and British military,” he pointed out.
Naryshkin also said that according to a number of Western estimates, the Ukrainian statehood itself could be under threat as a result of a counterattack by the AFU.
“On the sidelines, many Western military analysts have expressed serious doubts about the success of the Ukrainian adventure…,” Naryshkin said.
