Germany’s decision to recognize Russia as the biggest threat in its national security strategy does not meet Berlin’s interests, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
He said it was difficult for him to comment on the actions and decisions of contemporary German politicians.
“Because they are not based on any logic, nor on the interests of Germany itself, of the German people,” Lavrov said in a published segment of the TV show “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin,” commenting on the decision.
Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that by complying with all the instructions from the United States, Germany was “shooting itself in the foot”.
