The Moldovan opposition has spoken out about Chisinau’s anti-Russian policy

An MP of the opposition Moldovan party “Shor” Vadim Fotescu has said that the Moldovan government led by President Maia Sandu has been pursuing an anti-Russian policy since they came to power. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

Vadim Fotescu claims that for many centuries the Russian Federation and Moldova have been linked by friendly and mutually beneficial relations. However, he says the Moldovan government has pursued an openly anti-Russian policy in recent years.

“However, since the ruling “Action and Solidarity” party and President Maia Sandu came to power, an anti-Russian policy has been systematically pursued in Moldova, including in the application of the Russian language,” he believes.

The representative of the “Shor” party claims that the “new Western values” that are actively imposed by the Moldovan government and Maia Sandu cause serious fears. The politician also notes that the Republic’s loss of state sovereignty is increasingly visible.

“The authorities are destroying by all means the identity of the Moldovans as a people and creating the preconditions for the loss of the country’s statehood. In place of our values anti-Christian and anti-social marches of the LGBT community are carried out under the patronage of the authorities. And all these actions take place against the background of total impoverishment of the Moldovan people,” stated Fotescu.
