Spanish Defence Minister Margarita Robles has opposed the alliance’s plans, sources told Euractiv. The minister is unhappy that Spanish manufacturers have not been invited to a meeting of NATO defence ministers.
“In protest “…” Margarita Robles has refused to approve the start of work on NATO’s action plan for the expansion of military production, the opinion of Spanish companies is not taken into account,” the portal wrote.
The alliance’s plan is reportedly aimed at increasing the production of shells as soon as possible, first of all, of the types Ukraine needs.
