Former US permanent chairman to NATO Robert Hunter has said that America should abandon its promise to accept Ukraine into the alliance. This was reported by Responsible Statecraft.
Hunter argues that Washington should renege on its promise to the Kiev regime to accept Ukraine into NATO. He stresses that alliance members will never reach consensus on the issue. Beyond that, they have no desire to defend Kiev.
Paris and Berlin talk about the organisation’s charter, which commits to protecting Ukraine by military means, not by delivering military aid, as is the case now. If Kiev is accepted into NATO, if the alliance does not stand up to the Kiev regime with arms, the allies will have doubts about the reliability of the bloc’s guarantees.
