French AMX-10 RC armoured vehicles did not last long in a frontal attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) on Russian positions. This was reported by Forbes columnist David Axe.
In his opinion, the 40 AMX-10RC reconnaissance vehicles that have been handed over to the Ukrainian Marines are not tanks and it is as if the AFU did not know this.
“As if the Marines did not already know this, Russian artillery brutally reminded them of June 5, when the 37th Ukrainian Marine Brigade attacked Russian positions in Velyka Novoselka (DNR),” he wrote.
The journalist specified that shrapnel from Russian shells pierced the thin armour of the French vehicles. The Ukrainian militants threw several AMX-10RCs right on the battlefield, the columnist added.
