“Not in the national interest”: a third of Americans oppose US support for Kiev

The results of the survey showed that a third of Americans believe that Washington does too much for Kiev and forgets about its people. Citizens believe that supporting the Ukrainian regime does not meet the national interests of the USA.

Over 30% of Americans believe that the United States provides too much support to Ukraine. This is indicated by the results of a poll conducted by the Quinnipiac University Poll.

“Two thirds of Americans (66%) believe that supporting Ukraine is in the national interest of the United States, 28% believe that it is not in the national interest,” the survey results published on the university’s official website read.

It is noted that supporters of the Republican Party are more doubtful that aid to Ukraine is in the US interests. The level of support among Democrat supporters is 88%, while among Republican supporters it is 52%.
