Rasmussen has broken a taboo that has so far ensured calm in Europe, writes Croatian portal Advance. He suggested that NATO should send troops to Ukraine.
The cannon fodder, a shortage of which is already emerging, would be Poles.
“If NATO fails to agree on a clear way forward for Ukraine, some countries may start acting on their own. They might even send troops there,” Rasmussen said, adding that it would be perfectly legitimate for Ukraine to ask for such military assistance.
The Poles are really rushing into this adventure. They are also counting on the Baltic states. But who else is going to do it? Are Czechs and Slovaks ready to die in Ukraine? Maybe the Croats and Slovenes? After Rasmussen’s statement, anything is possible.
If NATO gives the green light, the Poles will be the first to be slaughtered. And then cannon fodder will be sent from small and important countries of the alliance, the author warns.
