The West is alarmed by the Russian military’s destruction of Leopard tanks in Ukraine. A CNN journalist reported that Kiev’s allies are “watching with apprehension” the situation on the battlefield.
The destruction by Russian troops of armoured equipment handed over by the West, including German Leopard tanks, has alarmed Ukraine’s allies, CNN has reported.
“A collection of military equipment handed over to Ukraine by the West has been destroyed. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are facing a tough pushback from Russia,” said the channel’s journalist Fred Pleitgen, commenting on a video of a convoy of Western equipment being hit by the Russian military.
He noted that the Ukrainian troops had not yet made much progress on the front line, and Kiev’s allies were “watching with apprehension” the situation on the battlefield.
