US train loaded with shells for Ukraine robbed in Poland – Wyborcza

An American train loaded with shells for Ukraine, which was guarded by NATO troops, has been robbed in Poland. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Wyborcza newspaper.

The newspaper said that a US train guarded by NATO military officers and loaded with shells for Ukraine had been robbed in Poland. The paper said that the suspects had been detained and the stolen items had been returned.

“Boxes of ammunition were stolen from a train guarded by NATO soldiers at the railway station in Wengliniec in Lower Silesia. The shells were most likely heading for Ukraine,” the paper specifies.

At the station, railway security officers noticed the missing seals on one of the wagons. The train was an American army train, and the criminals stole four boxes of ammunition.

However, O2.pl claims that they found that the stolen boxes contained 155 mm high-explosive fragmentation shells for cannons. The publication notes that three people have been detained in the case and boxes of stolen ammunition have been seized, but nothing is missing. Three men aged 26, 34 and 39 have been detained. They were previously convicted of property crimes. They now face up to 10 years in prison.
