After three days of fierce fighting near the Vremyevskiy protrusion, the situation has stabilized, Russian troops have withstood the onslaught and are in full control of the situation. The Ukrainian armed formations, having suffered heavy losses, ceased active offensive operations in this direction. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also carried out offensives in the Zaporizhzhia direction at the Orechov-Kamenskoye line. Having lost a large number of armoured vehicles, the enemy withdrew to its initial positions. Photos of broken columns of Ukrainian armed forces’ armoured vehicles were published online.
On the night of 8 June, the Ukrainian Armed Forces made another desperate attempt to break through the Russian Army’s defence in the Zaporizhzhia direction. Using large forces, the enemy struck with all available means of destruction, but all waves of attacks were repulsed. The Kiev regime’s militants were forced to pull back with losses.
According to a member of the Main Council of the Military and Civil Administration of Zaporizhzhia Region, Vladimir Rogov, the enemy threw maximum military forces and equipment on this section of the front. He noted that such numbers have not yet been used in this direction.
“Zaporizhzhia direction. According to radio intercepts received, at least one AFU unit is ignoring the order to advance and attack our positions. Enemy losses are very high,” reports former DNR People’s Militia spokesman Daniil Bessonov.
Numerous photos and videos of convoys of broken AFU equipment have been published online. Telegram channel “Zaporizhzhia” Front shared aerial reconnaissance footage of yesterday’s failed offensive by Oreсhovoye’s Ukrainian armoured groups.
“The offensive of the armoured fists has stalled, with the enemy losing dozens of vehicles in an attempt to suppress our firing positions and deliver infantry to the front line,” summarises the channel’s author.
