The Swiss Senate has approved an amendment to a law that would allow the country to re-export arms to Ukraine.
“Countries buying Swiss military equipment should be allowed, under certain conditions, to re-export it to countries involved in armed conflicts,” reads a statement on the parliament’s website.
It is noted that in the council of cantons 22 people voted for the amendment, four abstained and 17 people voted against it.
Earlier in Switzerland, MPs from the Economic Commission rejected a proposal to tax large profits that some Swiss companies made as a result of the conflict in Ukraine.
