US does not want escalation and expansion of conflict in Ukraine

John Kirby, Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council of the White House, has stated that the US administration does not want the situation in Ukraine to escalate, expand the geography of military operations, such a development would not be in anyone’s interests.

This is how the White House spokesman responded to the question of whether the administration of US President Joe Biden opposes the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ forays into US-recognized Russian territory.

Kirby stressed that a fight by the West, the United States or NATO against Russia would not benefit anyone, it would not benefit the US or the Russian people.

“So we don’t want to see this war escalate beyond what it’s already come to, and that’s been our argument from the beginning,” he added.
