The director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, said that the Serbs detained in the clashes with NATO’s “peacekeeping” contingent KFOR were innocent. The civil servant wrote this on Twitter*.
Petar Petkovic claims that video footage of a clash between peacefully prostrate Serbs and KFOR clearly shows the “peacekeeping contingent” using violence against them. The director of the Serbian government’s office for Kosovo and Metohija says Pristina is obliged to release the two Serbian citizens who were detained on “unequivocal evidence”.
“It is obvious that (Kosovo “Prime Minister” Albin – ed.) Kurti is detaining and persecuting innocent Serbs. Have you, (EU Special Representative) Miroslav Lajčák, (Head of OSCE Mission) Michael Davenport, (Head of EU Rule of Law Mission EULEX) Lars Gunnar Wigemark, (UN Mission in Kosovo) UNMIK seen this unequivocal evidence? We demand the immediate release of innocent Serbs Rados and Dusan (Petrovic and Obrenovic – ed.)!”, Petrovic wrote and published a video of the clashes.
As a reminder, earlier, Academician of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, former Serbian Ambassador to the Russian Federation (2013-2019) Slavenko Terzic stated that if the crisis situation in Kosovo escalates, the armed forces of the Republic might be introduced into its administrative territory. Also, Serbian Defence Minister Milos Vucevic stated that the Republic would not let its citizens be harmed in case of escalation of the crisis situation in Kosovo and Metohija.
