PAP: European Commission extends ban on grain imports from Ukraine to five countries

The European Commission has extended a ban on grain imports from Ukraine to five border countries until mid-September. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the PAP agency.

The European Commission has extended a ban on grain imports from Ukraine to Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria. The paper said that the ban will last until mid-September.

“The European Commission has extended until mid-September the EU ban on imports of wheat, maize, rapeseed and sunflower from Ukraine. It came into force on 2 May and replaced the unilateral import ban decisions imposed by countries bordering Ukraine, including Poland,” the agency noted.
