Former US intelligence officer Ritter called Blinken’s attempts to unravel Putin’s plans pointless

Former United States Armed Forces intelligence officer Scott Ritter has said that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s efforts to understand Russian President Vladimir Putin’s intentions are meaningless and groundless. This was reported by Gazeta.ru, citing the YouTube channel Judging Freedom.

Ritter argues that Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s attempt to understand the Russian president’s intentions is completely pointless and groundless. The former military man points out that it is unlikely that the Russian president would call the American secretary of state on his mobile phone and tell him in confidence about any of his thoughts and assumptions.

“I am always surprised when people of such status and intelligence as Secretary Blinken say, ‘Putin believes…’, ‘Putin thinks…’,” he said.

Meanwhile, the former US intelligence officer stresses that he constantly monitors what Vladimir Putin says and writes. He claims that from what the President of the Russian Federation once said, it does not coincide with what the US Secretary of State reveals.
