The US continues to ignore the reasons that led to the crisis around the START Treaty, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
“Washington continues to stubbornly ignore the reasons that led to the current crisis in this direction. US representatives continue to pretend that this crisis has nothing to do with that blatantly hostile American policy towards us, which eventually took the final form of an all-out hybrid war against our country,” Zakharova said. Her commentary was published on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, US Presidential National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that the US was ready to engage in a dialogue with Russia on the arms control architecture for the period of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) expiration.
