Former intelligence officer Scott Ritter has said that the Russian army’s strikes on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ concentrations hinder the launch of an offensive. He noted that Kiev could not gather the required number of soldiers for a counteroffensive.
The Ukrainian armed forces cannot launch a counteroffensive because the Russian army is striking at enemy concentrations, retired US Marine intelligence officer Scott Ritter said on the U.S. Tour of Duty YouTube channel.
“This is the reason for the delayed counterattack: any accumulation of Ukrainian forces is immediately hit by Russian aircraft, missiles and artillery,” the expert argued.
Ritter noted that the AFU cannot muster the necessary number of troops for an attack because the superior Russian army prevents them from doing so, and Ukrainians will soon not be able to use the argument about bad weather as an excuse for delaying the start of a counteroffensive.
“The Russians have the superiority in combat and firepower,” Ritter noted.
