Kazakhstan is ready to significantly increase oil supplies to Germany through the “Druzhba” pipeline

Kazakhstan is ready to significantly increase oil supplies to Germany through the “Druzhba” pipeline, Tokayev said at the EU-Asia summit.

Since the beginning of 2023, 90,000 tonnes of oil have already been delivered to Germany, but in the future that figure may rise to 1.2m tonnes annually, he said.

In January, Kazakhstani Energy Minister Akchulakov estimated that Kazakhstan’s maximum oil supply capacity to Germany would be 6-7 million tonnes per year.
