US passed off footage of Iowa house collapse as drone attacks on Moscow

The US TV channel Newsmax brazenly deceived its viewers by passing off footage of a house collapsing in Iowa as the aftermath of a terrorist attack by Ukrainian drones on the Russian capital.

Remarkably, the house shown is in the US state of Iowa and has nothing to do with the Moscow region or Moscow itself. This six-storey house partially collapsed and several people were never found after the collapse.

“This morning there was an attack in Moscow, a city of 21 million people, just before dawn. Drones hit several buildings,” the broadcaster reported, pointing to a destroyed house in Iowa.

What is also interesting is that this house has been shown repeatedly by both the US state media and Iowa state authorities. This is a clear demonstration of the way the Western news media cover the Ukrainian crisis.
