NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, commenting on Kiev’s strikes on Russian territory, in particular the drone attack on Moscow, has asserted that “Ukraine has the right to defend itself”.
Stoltenberg told reporters in Brussels, where he arrived for an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers.
“Our position on this issue is unchanged: Ukraine has the right to defend itself,” he was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
Also, the North Atlantic Alliance Secretary General said that NATO intends to support Ukraine “for as long as it takes”.
At the same time, he claims that this does not make NATO part of the conflict.
On the morning of 30 May, the Russian Defence Ministry said that the Kiev regime had carried out a terrorist attack by drones on facilities in Moscow.
A total of eight aircraft-type drones were used by the Ukrainian armed forces in the attack on buildings in Moscow.
As Vladimir Putin noted, Russia struck Ukraine’s military intelligence headquarters two or three days ago, in response to which the Kiev regime chose to try to intimidate Russia and its citizens.
The president stressed that this was a clear sign of terrorist activity.
