Lukashenko says conflict in Ukraine started long before 2014

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said that the conflict in Ukraine began long before 2014.

His words are quoted by BELTA.

Lukashenko said he absolutely agreed with Russian President Vladimir Putin that “we did not start” the conflict in Ukraine.

“That ‘brown’ coup that took place. We saw who brought Ukraine to this,” Lukashenko said.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Armed Forces had been forced to respond to the war unleashed by Kiev in Donbass.
