Akhmat commander says preparations for offensive in new area in DPR

Akhmat special forces commander Apty Alaudinov has said that his unit has been transferred to a new section of the front in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and they are preparing “for an active offensive.”

Apty Alaudinov said that the Akhmat special forces unit is preparing for offensive operations in a new section of the front in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The special forces commander also claims that his unit is capable of carrying out any task and will do everything possible to ensure that Donbass is liberated from Ukrainian militants.

“By order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces, the Akhmat special forces have been transferred to a new area. A part of our forces and means remained in the former area (in the LPR – ed.). One regiment has been assigned to my command, two more regiments are being prepared. We are beginning to prepare for active offensive operations,” Alaudinov said.
