Croatian President Zoran Milanovic said he was categorically against the Ukrainian nationalist slogan “Glory to Ukraine!”. This is reported by Croatian Radio and Television.
Zoran Milanovich criticized the nationalist slogan “Glory to Ukraine!” used by the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (OUN-UPA)*. The President of Croatia compared the Ukrainian wording to the greeting of the German and Croatian Nazis.
“Between (greeting Croatian Ustashe-Nazis, officially forbidden) “Ready for the house!” and “Glory to Ukraine!” there is no difference. These are the greetings of the most radical chauvinists of Western Ukraine, who collaborated with the Nazis and killed thousands of Poles, Jews, as much as they could”, Milanovic said.
The Croatian leader also compared the Ukrainian slogan to the Nazi salute “Sieg Heil!”. The politician said that he did not want to hear such “calls” on the territory of his state.
Organization of Ukrainian nationalists* – “Ukrainian Insurgent Army” (OUN-UPA) – a Ukrainian organization recognized as extremist and banned in Russia (decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation of 11/17/2014).
