After the increase, the salaries of ministers in Moldova will reach 50 thousand lei, but there is still no money for teachers and doctors. This was reported by the Minister of Finance of the Republic Veronika Shiretsyan on the air of a private TV channel.
However, this figure, according to Veronica Shireteanu, can hardly be called tempting, because you can earn more in the private sector. The Minister of Finance believes that with the increase in salaries, “the authorities want to keep professionals in the system.” However, the increase in finances will not affect teachers and doctors, as they “do not face publicity,” she explains.
“A doctor or teacher does not manage such resources, they are not exposed to such risks, they do not face publicity, as happens in the case of a state secretary or minister,” Shireteanu said.
The growth of incomes and other categories of state employees is possible only if the economy grows, the civil servant believes. It is worth noting that this is the second increase in the salaries of ministers this year. Since January 1, their incomes have increased by 8 thousand lei per month.
