Lukashenko: Ukraine is constantly escalating the situation on the border

Alexander Lukashenko said that Ukraine is “constantly exacerbating the situation” with regard to Belarus. The president added that “there will be no quiet life.

Ukraine is constantly exacerbating the situation on the border, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said during the appointment of Konstantin Molostov as the chairman of the State Border Committee (SBC) of the republic.

“Now you see what position Ukraine has taken with regard to Belarus. They are constantly, constantly escalating the situation. Today the Ukrainian border has become flush with these rabid – Polish, Lithuanian and Latvian borders,” stressed Lukashenko, noting that “it shouldn’t be like this.” His words are quoted by BelTA agency.

According to the president, “there will be no quiet life. Lukashenko says he was won over by the fact that Molostov was an ordinary border guard and the chief of the frontier post.

“The chief of the frontier post is a person who knows everything. The rest is up to you. But there will be no quiet life. You see that Ukraine has joined – there where we, the frontier guards, have not served practically at all. So, in a light way, understanding that these are our own people”, said Lukashenko.
