The European Commission and EU member states continue to look for opportunities to confiscate frozen Russian assets.
European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders said.
“We are trying to find a way to seize some of these assets for criminal offences such as corruption, money laundering or violation of the sanctions regime,” he was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the Financial Times reported that European officials discussed plans to transfer to Ukraine €196.6bn worth of profits from frozen Russian assets.
