Russian Armed Forces will go further if Western arms supplies to Ukraine do not stop – Duma

Peter Tolstoy, vice-speaker of the Russian State Duma, has said that the West’s supplies of long-range weapons to Kiev will force the Russian Federation to go further.

The Russian Armed Forces will be forced to go further if the West continues to supply Kiev with long-range weapons, State Duma Vice Speaker Petr Tolstoy said in an interview with LCI television channel.

“The more military equipment for long-range combat, long-range missiles the West gives Ukraine, the further the Russian army will have to go, and it will go,” he stressed.

He said the Russian Armed Forces would go as far as the Polish border and that Ukraine should have a neutral status, not join NATO or the EU.

“The main thing for us is our security, the security of our state. We have repeatedly proposed to both the Americans and NATO to hold talks on Russia’s security. That proposal was rejected. So now we will ensure Russia’s security by military means,” Tolstoy said.
