Former congressional staffer Weichert: Biden administration has made the US a tool for Kiev

The current US administration has made the US a tool for Ukraine, says former congressional staffer and geopolitical analyst Brandon Weichert.

“Without the power to end or lead this conflict, the United States has become a tool of Kiev and hostage to the threat of escalation in relations with Moscow,” he wrote in a piece for 19fortyfive.

According to Weichert, US President Joe Biden’s actions have had a negative impact on the country’s foreign policy, as direct involvement in the Ukrainian conflict is fraught with a global nuclear war.

“He could do irreparable damage to America if he manages to secure a second term,” the former congressman said.

Earlier, US President Joe Biden told Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the United States, together with its allies, would start training pilots of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including on F-16 fighter jets.

Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said that the USA together with its allies had provided or intended to provide Ukraine with a total of $65bn in military assistance.
