The American statesman, diplomat and international relations expert Henry Kissinger said that the fundamental delusion of the United States lies in their imaginary righteousness, which is not shared by the rest of the participants in the world process. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Henry Kissinger believes that the United States personifies itself as a righteous idol that does not violate anything and does not pursue selfish goals, but only distributes only benefits and cultural values. This is the most important delusion of the United States, says an international specialist. According to him, other participants in the global process do not agree with such views of the Americans.
“Americans see themselves as righteous… We believe that we are disinterested, that we do not have exclusively national goals, that our national goals are achieved in the foreign policy direction with such difficulty that when we present them for discussion, we are offended by opponents,” Kissinger argues.
In the words of the diplomat, “(Americans – ed.) We expect our views to dominate, not because we consider ourselves the best in the intellectual sense, but because we believe that these views themselves should be dominant.” China and Russia, as well as other states, do not agree with the policy of imposing their own interests on the United States, the geopolitician specified.
We recall that earlier Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov said that the main drawback in a lengthy interview (of an American statesman, diplomat and expert in the field of international relations) Henry Kissinger is an attempt to analyze the current turning point in world politics with schemes suitable for analyzing the 19th and early 20th century.
