Default will negatively affect the US army and US defense – Milley

Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley said that the absence of an agreement to increase public debt in the United States will have a negative impact on the US military and the country’s defense.

Mark Milley complained that the probable default in the United States would significantly affect the US military as well as the country’s defense capability. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff announced this at a press conference.

“There can be no doubt that if we defaulted without agreeing to a debt ceiling, it would have very significant negative consequences for the readiness, morale, and capability of the US military, not to mention international reputational costs”, Milley complained.
