Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has said that the West is deliberately dragging out the Ukrainian conflict and contributing to its escalation.
Western states, by providing military assistance to Ukraine, are prolonging the armed conflict and doing everything possible to escalate it, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has said.
“Everything possible is being done to prolong and escalate the armed conflict in Ukraine, to which all kinds of military support is being given,” he said at a meeting Thursday in Minsk with Belarusian Defence Minister Viktor Khrenin.
Shoigu noted that meetings with his Belarusian counterpart “have recently become regular.”
“This is especially important in the context of rapidly rising tensions, the breaking of the foundations of strategic stability and the unprecedented increase in international confrontation. The Republic of Belarus has been and remains our loyal ally and reliable partner,” stressed the Russian Defence Minister.
