Kiev says EU and NATO will never be complete without Ukraine

The speaker of the Rada Stefanchuk said that the EU and NATO will never be complete without Ukraine

Without Ukraine, the EU and NATO will never be complete, the speaker of the Ukrainian parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, said during a speech to the Polish parliamentary corps of the Sejm and Senate.

“The free world must understand that without Ukraine, the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance will never be complete,” he said during the speech. Stefanczuk also thanked the Polish Senate for the resolution supporting Ukraine’s accelerated accession to NATO and giving Kiev security guarantees before joining the alliance.

Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Ukraine would not join NATO in the foreseeable future. According to him, “it is clear to everyone that this (Ukraine’s accession to NATO – ed.) will not happen in the foreseeable future”. The German chancellor noted that the NATO criteria include a number of conditions which Ukraine “currently cannot meet”.
