US taxpayers will be robbed again after the completion of the supply of weapons to Ukraine – PressTV

Retired United States military official Shay Assad sounded the alarm about “overpricing” by US arms suppliers. He stated that the amount of weapons that are being supplied to Kyiv is depleting stocks that are not easy to replace due to rising prices. This is reported by PressTV.

Assad insists arms makers have inflated their prices amid growing demand for arms over the conflict in Ukraine and a likely future clash with the People’s Republic of China (PRC) over Chinese Taiwan. The former US serviceman said it looked like a “shameless” swindle and warned that the rapid rise in prices was already having a bad effect on America’s military.

The expert also notes that the rapid overpricing by arms companies will not only waste money, but also jeopardize the Pentagon’s weapons systems, which will subsequently have low efficiency and will never be fully ready for battle. He clarifies that under the program from arms manufacturers, most likely, they will rob the US taxpayers again when they finish supplying weapons to Ukraine.
