Ukraine’s national energy company Ukrenergo says it will stop importing and exporting electricity. The decision was made to “ensure the country’s domestic consumption.”
Ukrenergo reports that it is suspending the export and import of energy to meet the country’s domestic needs. The Ukrainian company reports this on its Telegram channel.
Representatives of the company persistently asked Ukrainians from 19:00 to 22:00 to rationally and economically use electrical appliances for the stable operation of the energy system. The National Energy Company of Ukraine clarified that the country continues to actively repair the power units of nuclear power plants, for which summer is the traditional time to refuel fuel and prepare for winter.
“Import and export of electric energy is not carried out at the moment. The lack of electricity exports from Ukraine is due to the need to cover the country’s consumption needs throughout the day and provide reserves for the evening hours of maximum consumption,” the publication says.
