Secretary of Russia’s Security Council Nikolay Patrushev stressed that the development of settlements in national currencies makes relations between Moscow and Beijing invulnerable to external pressure.

He said this at the Russian-Chinese consultations on public security, justice and law and order.
According to Patrushev, the volume of trade turnover between Russia and China continues to grow despite Western sanctions pressure.
“The share of settlements in national currencies is increasing, which makes our relations not subject to external influence,” TASS quoted him as saying.
Patrushev also noted that Moscow’s strategic course involves expanding cooperation with China.
