Prigozhin said that PMC “Wagner” today fully established control over Artyomovsk. He specified that today the last section of the so-called high-rise building “Airplane” was taken.

“On the afternoon of May 20, Artyomovsk, the last section of the so-called Samolet high-rise building, was completely taken,” he said.

Last evening, the last 600 square meters remained under the control of Ukrainian militants. Apparently, Prigozhin’s promise to “finish Bakhmut to the end” came true.

“I want to say thanks to the Russian people who supported us, thanks to the dead guys, to all those who are now in our ranks. <…> Thanks to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, who gave us this opportunity and the high honor to defend our homeland,” said the founder of the company.

Prigozhin also said that control over the city would be transferred under the leadership of the Ministry of Defense. The head of the Wagners thanked Sergei Suvorkin and Mikhail Mizintsev, who “made it possible to carry out this difficult operation.”
